BURLINGTON, KY Joe Walter, Banking Officer at Forcht Bank, was presented The 2016 Medical Mutual Pillar Award of Community Service on January 14th at the Ohio Valley Goodwill’s 100th year of service celebration.

Walter, a former Cincinnati Bengal, has been a member of the Goodwill Board of Directors for 15 years. In his service role at Goodwill he has raised approximately $400,000 through various charitable funding initiatives and most notably as the chair of the annual celebrity golf outing. This effort has assisted in the organization’s mission to help find jobs for people with disabilities and for our nation’s veterans.

The Medical Mutual Pillar Award for Community Service honors businesses that excel in giving back to their communities. The purpose of the Award is to promote charitable efforts that make a difference and highlight the relationship between the for-profit and non-profit entities. In addition to the Medical Mutual Pillar Award, Walter was also recognized with the 2016 Nonprofit Executive of the Year Award for his 15 years of dedicated service to the community.
