OnDemand Manager April Corwin and Financial Center Manager Sarah Brock are recipients of the 2025 Beacon Award in the Collaborative Partner category from VIPS, or Vision Interventions and Parental Support.
VIPS defines Collaborative Partners as individuals, organizations, and foundations that have been a critical partner in advancing the VIPS mission.
Forcht Bank along with April and Sarah have for the past 10 years supported VIPS's mission by raising awareness and funds during our annual free, Pancakes with Santa event at our Hamburg Banking Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
"For the past 10 years, Forcht Bank has hosted a free community wide Pancakes with Santa event to raise awareness and funds for VIPS. Forcht Bank staff and volunteers go above and beyond to make the event a success, and attendance continues to grow each year (with almost 300 participants in 2024). Beyond providing a breakfast buffet of freshly cooked pancakes, bacon, sausage, fruit and pastries, Forcht Bank schedules entertainment such as carolers, orchestra groups, caricature artists, balloon artists, and of course Santa himself. They truly go above and beyond to help VIPS spread awareness of blindness/low vision in children and raise funds to support our early intervention services. We are beyond thankful for the way they have supported our mission," said VIPS Director of Community Outreach and Intake Kelly Easton.
April and Sarah were formally recognized at VIPS's End of Year Celebration and Beacon Awards in Louisville on Friday, June 27.
