(Lexington, KY) - Larry Forester, Senior Vice President, was recently awarded for his commitment to bettering his community on behalf of the Urban League of Lexington. For over 50 years, this nonprofit organization has assisted African American and disadvantaged citizens in the achievement of social and economic equality by providing affordable housing, offering financial literacy courses, and workforce development. Larry's success with the Urban League came rather quickly, serving as the Young Professional President for two terms which created the pathway to serving on the Board of Directors for nearly a decade. "There are many organizations that I've had the honor to be part of," says Larry, "but the Urban League of Lexington is one that I hold dear to my heart. During my time on the board, I've met many individuals who have been a great inspiration to me and who will continue to be a vital part of my life. I can't thank Mr. Peeples enough for giving me the opportunity to serve and I will forever cherish my time spent with the Urban League."
